DECADES IN SOUND

 

OVERVIEW

A brand new two/three-person singing showcase group called “DECADES IN SOUND.” Veteran Singer/Entertainers Tommy Sullivan, Jim Papa and a third member to be determined have teamed up to perform songs made popular by the greatest musical artists of all time. The group will perform a selection of songs encompassing “The Great American Song Book,” Doo Wop, Oldies, Rock & Roll, Motown, Disco and more. Music of the 1950’s through the 1970’s.

 

OBJECTIVE

  • To perform as individuals in a group that embodies the music of the baby boomer generation. Performing everything including Doo Wop, Elvis, The Beatles, Motown, 60’s, 70’s Disco and more.

  • To create a one-of-a-kind show. One that generates a “buzz” where people look forward to following the group and coming out to see them perform.

  • To work venues in a variety of settings that can accommodate a show that is fast paced, dynamic, exciting, and nostalgic.

 

MEMBERS

Tommy Sullivan

Founding member and Musical Director of the wildly popular and successful 60’s group “The Brooklyn Bridge.” A member of the Long Island Music Hall Fame, a U.S. Army Veteran, a veteran singer, entertainer, composer, and musician. Tommy is a performer who enjoys singing the hits he helped make famous by “The Brooklyn Bridge” as well a wide variety of songs enjoyed by not only the baby boomers but also many of the generations that followed.

Jim Papa

A throwback, a natural talent with a voice that transcends time and brings back memories of places and passion of years gone by. A diverse performer who enjoys singing songs that we all know and love. Taking the lead from the greatest performers from years gone by his renditions of classic ballads, pop, rock & roll within a variety of music genres have made him a popular, featured performer in the New York /Long Island/Tri-State area.
